We love flying...

Salamandra XC is a sister company to Líjar Sur, developed and aimed at foreign pilots. We are offering a new concept in adventure tourism for you to learn to fly whilst enjoying a holiday in southern Spain.

We are an officially qualified paragliding school integrated in FEADA (Federación Andaluza de Deportes Aéreos) y RFAE (Real Federación Aéronaútica de España), member of FAI (The World Air Sports Federation).

We have a team of professional paragliding instructors in love with these mountains and proud of the place we live. We have put together our knowledge and experience to build up a team that provides an excellent service for our guests. But above all... we love flying !

José Ramón Pérez is the technical director of the SalamandraXC flight center. He has been a paragliding pilot since 1992. He is an experienced paragliding instructor, a member of the regional competition team and twice national champion in his category.

Our Instructors are all officially qualified and expert paragliding pilots. We know the best places for the prevailing conditions that will suit the type of flight you want.

In Salamandra XC We have dedicated an enormous amount of time and effort to be able to offer you a quality holiday with service to match. In our club we have a practice and theory area to give technical classes to beginners and advice to the more experienced. The equipment we use is of proven ability, tried and tested. All our paragliders for beginners are homologised, checked regularly and always kept up to date., We have harnesses with body protection and safety systems, helmets & walky talkies. The walkie talkies allow our students permanent communication with their instructors. We have 4x4 vehicles to get you to the top of the mountain.

All of this gives you maximum security with quality of service.

More than a decade of teaching students to fly is our guarantee…our instructors have thousands of hours of flight, a wealth of experience and some of them still compete at a high level in competition.

Not only do they know these mountains and the sky, they also know the best places to eat tapas, drink the sweetest tinto de verano or celebrate a fantastic flying day with an ice cold beer…
